People often say they have a burning passion for something or to do something. Although it is very important to them, in my view the Passion of Jesus Christ is the ultimate sacrifice, there is nothing to compare to it.
Sourcing the gem of the words of a popular song by Donnie McClurkin:
‘You came from heaven to earth to show the way,
From the earth to the Cross my debts to pay,
From the Cross to the grave,
From the grave to the sky,
Lord I lift your name on high.’
By doing this Jesus humbled himself and obeyed Our Heavenly Father, even though for a short time he wavered in his decision.
He laid down His life for us, so we can have life on earth with a bonus of free will. Now, what we do with this free will sets our path to attaining everlasting life in heaven or not.
Our burning passion should be to live the way he showed us, this should be the priority in our lives always. Amen.

Much more people should come to see what Jesus really did and should come to accept and praise him for who he is, not making a god of him, but recognising him as the son of God.
