It has truly been an amazing year of writing, blogging, having fun, sharing, entertaining and making new friends. I have thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt a lot as well. Just before I retired I had an episode of ill health, the only way forward was to get strengthened in Christ, get good nutrition and exercise going for total recovery and make each day special. I wasn’t doing much in way of writing and from feedback of what i wrote was I needed to improve. Then I found WordPress, a platform that gave me a boost of energy to further develop myself and the things I want to do. I owe a lot to sharing with you and learning from you, I have written more, got involved in more activities and initiated my personal projects to fruition than I ever did. I am glad I am able to write this without my laptop going, “Oops, something has gone wrong.” because of storage problems I have been trying to catch up with liking and commenting on your blog posts, on writing the Daily Prompt and by God’s Grace one day hope to bring back ‘Top of the Elevenses/Brunch’.
Thanks to you all, from my first Follower to the most recent one, to all at Admin and Blogging Fundamentals, to Mr Ngobesing Romanus and all at Success Inspirers’ World, Viewers and Readers. There are so many names to mention and I don’t want to miss any, so just believe I send you my love and thanks too.
Blessings of Palm Sunday to you all, His love is for everyone of us because we are all SPECIAL.
Instinct has made the news many a time. How you may ask? Well, I have always found it fascinating when I read about the cats and dogs that find their way home after the owners had moved from one area to another. It is their homing instinct directing them. What a useful thing to have?.
Good morning to vivid blue skies,
Even a grey sky is a conversation piece,
Step outside onto the green lawn
Or may be its crazy paving,
Don’t discount the lovely colour of decking,
Now your eyes can enjoy the shades of green foliage
And the wonderful heads of beautiful spectrum of vividly hued flowers
With bees buzzing around them and pollinating
The Green Kingdom for which we are so grateful.
I bought some oranges,
My Greengrocer saw me contemplating,
“Oh they are very juicy, the best Spanish ones”, he said.
I thought that I will try them on his recommendation and did,
So true, so juicy and I wish I bought more than three.
The sounds a baby makes helps us to care for their needs. There is the cooing, gurgling, babbling, oohs and aahs. Of course we have the obvious crying. The sounds vary as to when they want to play, to be held for comfort and bonding, to get attention for a problem to be solved. It is not always easy to detect but attentive we must be until they are old enough to vocalise their needs.
Cleaning up London,
Cleaning up any city,
Any place in the world for that matter,
Should be all our responsibility,
To live as tidy as possible,
The workers should not be cut though,
So we can have some clean buses and trains,
Walkways, public places and facilities,
To be proud of.
Hip replacement was a topic in the news recently. A Health Authority refusing this procedure in order to cut costs is terrible. I remember as a student nurse how much difference it made to many people, usually the older population after periods of pain, discomfort and immobility.
I would wish these decision makers to reassess this situation and find other ways to save money. I say, look at cutting down on wastage to improve quality of life.
