Baths v Showers

Immerse

There’s nothing better,

After a hard day’s work,

To immerse the tired muscles

In a hot, scented and  foamy bath.

The days have gone when this was a lovely experience.

Now showers have taken over and it’s not the same.

Nature does it best

The autumn evening show was about to begin above the Village Green, just as it happens every year, no one knows the time exactly but they were ready for it .  All day people had been coming from near and far in cars,  caravans, trains, on bikes and on foot.  There were tourists filling the hotels and Hostels as well as the Bed and Breakfast places.  A roaring trade was going on for the Airbnb company as householders were prepared to camp out so they could make a bob or two.  Many friendships were made.

The Village Clock Tower emitted the sound of the chimes as the clock struck  at 6 p.m.  This was suddenly followed by a low murmuration  which increasingly got louder.  Heads turned and eyes looked upwards to see more than 100,000 starlings in their phenomenal acrobatic dance and loops.  This went on for a good long time and all took photographs of this magical entertainment, nature had given the starlings the spotlight.

Step outside

Vivid

Good morning to vivid blue skies,

Even a grey sky is a conversation piece,

Step outside onto the green lawn

Or may be its crazy paving,

Don’t discount the lovely colour of decking,

Now your eyes can enjoy the shades of green foliage

And the wonderful heads of beautiful spectrum of vividly hued flowers

With bees buzzing around them and pollinating

The Green Kingdom for which we are so grateful.

Arid land

Arid

Again I hear there is starvation,

The children are going without food,

The arid land is yielding nothing,

As the heavens haven’t pour out the rain.

Same old problems,

Where are the engineers?

Where are the rich with private jets?

We don’t want their help for free,

Unless they are with good hearts,

And giving and forward looking,

To progress their motherland

And turn arid to fertile.

Found safe and well

The seriousness of the offence was flabbergasting, no one could quite believe how the parents could punish a child that way.  Everyone agreed that it was over the top.  The parents thought, the fright that would be left on the child’s mind by spending time alone in the forest for a few minutes would alter his behaviour, it rather became a thing of an embarrassment to them.

As minutes became hours and a day passed, they had no  choice but to get the Police, the Army and other services involved to help locate the boy.

Someone up above, who we look up to was looking out for the child and kept him safe until he was found. Many prayers were said for his safety and the Lord answered those prayers.
