Sit, listen and share

The meanders of the plot in the story left most of the audience totally confused.  However, no one was more perplexed than creator of this active participation show. It became a case of too many cooks spoil the broth.

As they all got the hang of storytelling it was fulfilling just to sit and listen and share.  Who would have thought it was so hard to tell a story.

The session came to an end and there was a resounding, “Oh no is it finished already”, from all the participants.

Conversant with it

The conversant trait

Or is there one?

Rather

It is what we are into

So familiar with.

Like good dancers

Do the party moves

Extremely well

Because they are so

Conversant with it.

Oops something has gone right- An amazing 1st year with WordPress

It has truly been an amazing year of writing, blogging, having fun, sharing, entertaining and making new friends.  I have thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt a lot as well.  Just before I retired I had an episode of ill health, the only way forward was to get strengthened in Christ, get good nutrition and exercise going for total recovery and make each day special.  I wasn’t doing much in way of writing and from feedback of what i wrote was I needed to improve.  Then I found WordPress, a platform that gave me a boost of energy to further develop myself and the things I want to do.  I owe a lot to sharing with you and learning from you, I have written more, got involved in more activities and initiated my personal projects to fruition than I ever did.  I am glad I am able to write this without my laptop going, “Oops, something has gone wrong.” because of storage problems   I have been trying to catch up with liking and commenting on your blog posts, on writing the Daily Prompt and by God’s Grace one day hope to bring back ‘Top of the Elevenses/Brunch’.

Thanks to you all, from my first Follower to the most recent one, to all at Admin and Blogging Fundamentals, to Mr Ngobesing Romanus and all at Success Inspirers’ World, Viewers and Readers.  There are so many names to mention and I don’t want to miss any, so just believe I send you my love and thanks too.

Blessings of Palm Sunday to you all, His love is for everyone of us because we are all SPECIAL.

Open to learning

Thank God for Google, well for dictionaries before the Web came along.  Searching to make sure I was thinking of the right word or rather the right meaning to parlay, I found something I had always known.  I don’t know everything, in fact, no one can know everything except Our God.  As it turns out I thinking of ‘parlez’ as in the French to speak.  Now, parlay is a new word that I am going to add to my vocabulary.  So it’s about the mindset of gamblers putting their money or winnings into more bets.  I suppose they were hoping that they would win again,  I wonder how many did.

Babies can do it

Learning
What is the use of learning when we don’t apply it?

Babies in the womb learn something special,

They learn the distinctive voices of their parents.

They learn the voices of those dear ones they hear regularly,

Have you ever been one of those at the receiving end of that look,

When those beautiful eyes, so fresh,

And seemingly full of knowledge,

Follow your every move and bring

To your life, your soul and your spirit,

Such joy like a waterfall with bubbles that tickle,

And if some entered your mouth,

Popping candy would stand no chance,

With so much we’ve learnt on this earth,

Applying our learning towards good deeds,

Should be a target easily achieved,

Because babies can do it.

The Childhood Games

Childhood

The childhood games we played and enjoyed hold great memories.  Of course it was a learning place and space too. What games did we play?  We clapped our hands, we run and fell, jumped, skipped and shouted, hid and got found, laughed and sang, climbed trees and fell out, cried and wiped our tears, got up and played again, agreed and/or disagreed with each other, got into  little squabbles or fights with each other, and made up within minutes because we needed a friend to play with.  In the background, there was always parents and adults keeping their wise eyes over us.

All in all, it also taught us to learn to relate to each other and people in general, to love others like we love ourselves, have empathy, be sociable and fair, independent, practice peaceful resolution of conflict, teach and share, look out for each other, be confident and strong, be inspired and have vision for a better future.

Nowadays I pray and hope every generation accommodates its young to have a childhood resembling  this.  Even amidst this digital age, its our duty as parents, adults and legislators to give them a place and space that’s not behind bars..

Now, right now let’s not waste time and their childhood by turning our heads and looking the other way because we would be and we are doing them an injustice.

Let’s be  Good Parents, Good Samaritans and Good Mentors.
